Deterministic runtime

A deterministic runtime runs a process so that the same case always leads to the same result. Calculations and checks follow fixed formulas, not the language model.

01Explained

What is behind it.

Language models are strong at reading, but their output can vary. For a ratio in a credit opinion or a deadline in a law firm that is not acceptable.

A deterministic runtime therefore splits the work: the model reads and finds values with their source. The runtime computes, checks and picks the next step by your rules. Every formula is versioned.

That way an auditor can trace every value: where it came from, which formula computed it, who approved it.

How we put it into practice.

The runtime of the LumeSec AI Platform is our own development. On our pages we put it briefly: the AI reads, the engine computes, you decide.

03Questions

Answered briefly.

01Is AI still needed then?

Yes, for reading and understanding documents. It does not compute or decide.
